Tolaram Foundation Estonia which is now in its 7th year was set up to provide mentally challenged children the opportunity to learn, play and enjoy music.
This is a successful therapy and concept created by 2 Finnish therapists based on simple shapes and colors called Figurenotes.
We have also had to train the school teachers on how best to teach their students to read music through Figurenotes and a handbook in Estonian has been printed. Various camps and concerts have been organized.
In addition, Tolaram Foundation also organizes Christmas and social events and outings for mentally challenged children, and has assisted in repairing the heating system and provided double glazing windows for hospice which treats the terminally ill. In addition, it also actively supports the Mother Theressa Sisters of Missionaries in running their soup kitchens and rehabilitating and providing warm meals to the less fortunate during the cold winters.
